The Pirscher Gear Boarbuster Tracking Jacket is our most feature-rich hunting jacket from Pirscher Gear - designed for the high demands of tracking and ideal for driven hunts.  

To ensure that the tracking jacket withstands all adversities, we have chosen durable Ripstop material. The abrasion-resistant reinforcements made of Hardstructure fabric on the forearms provide optimal protection against branches, thorns, and sharp corn leaves when the arms are used to shield the face.  

By combining it with the high-performance membrane with a water column of 8,000 mm (m²/24h) and breathability of 8,000 g (m²/24h), we have created a hunting jacket that reliably protects the hunter in wet and challenging terrain.

Special Features for Dog Handlers

The Pirscher Gear Boarbuster Tracking Jacket is designed for high visibility and contributes to increased safety during hunting. In addition to the optimized orange-yellow distribution, additional reflective strips ensure improved visibility in darkness, for example, during tracking following accidents.

For the convenient monitoring of the hunting dog or pack using a tracker, the dog handler's jacket is equipped with a specially developed wide fold-out pocket on the left chest. The dog tracking device is secured there using adjustable rubber bands, allowing constant access to the display without needing to use your hands.

The extra-wide and sturdy belt loops hold the dog handler's belt with necessary equipment such as a catch pole securely in place when needed.

Equipment of the Pirscher Gear Boarbuster Tracking Jacket

Additional practical details include the two small slots in the front pockets. This allows for easy and quick unrolling of the marking tape. The removable cartridge holders with Velcro securely store ammunition in the front pockets.

The cut of the dog handler's jacket offers good freedom of movement while minimizing contact points with vegetation and obstacles. For example, the zippers in the front area are concealed to prevent branches from snagging. The wind cuffs with thumb loops and adjustable cuffs on sleeves and hem support a secure fit of the jacket during active hunts.

To maintain the brightness of the colors for a longer period and make the hunting jacket more durable and resistant, the Pirscher Gear Boarbuster Tracking Jacket has been treated with an environmentally friendly, PFC-free DWR impregnation (Durable Water Repellent). The ecological impregnation makes the jacket dirt and water repellent, weather and wash-resistant, and helps the colors and fabric stay like new for longer.  

The jacket is equipped with a total of eight practical pockets, providing ample storage space for necessary hunting equipment. Two spacious front pockets with fl aps, two side pockets, two chest pockets with waterproof zippers, and three inside pockets.
