The outer fabric of the Härkila Flex hunting trousers is made from a polyamide-elastane blend that feels soft and lightweight and moves with you – no pulling, no restriction when climbing or crouching. Despite its lightweight feel, the fabric is surprisingly durable and moves almost silently, which is immediately noticeable out on the hunt. The contrast and reinforcement zones made from pure polyamide provide targeted protection at the hem and leg ends against rough contact with undergrowth and rocks.
The DWR finish (PFC-free) repels light drizzle and allows moisture to roll off – the Härkila Flex hunting trousers are therefore equipped with water repellent, but not designed as a full-fledged rain pants. In the event of prolonged rain, overtrousers are used. However, the trousers score highly with a sophisticated ventilation system : The zips on the thighs can be opened whilst walking, and the 2-way ventilation zip at the bottom complements the system – allowing you to regulate your body temperature during a brisk approach without having to take off your hunting trousers.
The 6 pockets are thoughtfully positioned for hunting: the upper slit pockets open easily even when wearing gloves, whilst the large zipped thigh pockets can hold a knife, a recall whistle, a spare pair of gloves or a pair of binoculars. The elasticated waistband with a classic denim button fastening sits securely and gives way when bending or climbing – no pressure points after a long day in the hide. The adjustable strap at the hem keeps the trousers neatly in place over your hunting boots.
