With its waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex membrane, the Kalixfors Mid SF Extra GTX is perfectly equipped for wet days out in the field. The robust nubuck leather can withstand a lot, and the mid-height shaft provides good support for the foot whilst remaining comfortably flexible when walking. This makes the boot particularly well-suited to types of hunting that involve alternating between longer distances and quieter periods.
When stalking, the softly cushioned sole construction is particularly noticeable; it enables a quiet and comfortable roll-off, allowing the foot to be placed with control. The Vibram Trekking SF sole also offers a wide contact surface and a grippy tread pattern for forest paths and varied terrain in the hunting grounds.
The Hanwag Kalixfors Mid SF Extra GTX hunting boot has a comfortable fit; in addition, the StraightFit Extra fit creates more space in the forefoot and provides extra room for the big toe in particular. This enhances comfort over long distances and also leaves plenty of room for thicker hunting socks. The 2-zone lacing system allows the foot and upper to be adjusted separately, enabling an even more personalised fit for the hunting boot.
Additional protective caps on the toes and heel protect the areas of the boot that are subject to the most wear and tear. The Kalixfors Mid SF Extra GTX can also be resoled and is 100% manufactured in Europe.
