The Hikmicro Thunder TQ35CL 3.0 thermal imaging attachment combines a high-resolution 640 × 512-pixel sensor with a thermal sensitivity of less than 15 mK and an integrated laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1,000 m. The compact 35 mm system delivers a detailed thermal image even in difficult weather conditions, making it particularly suitable for safe observation and distance estimation during night-time hunting.

At the heart of the Thunder TQ35CL 3.0 is the 640 × 512-pixel thermal detector with a sensitivity of less than 15 mK. This clearly highlights even slight temperature differences. Particularly in rain, fog or when temperature contrasts are weak, this high sensitivity helps to distinguish between wildlife and terrain features more clearly. The 50 Hz frame rate ensures a smooth display when wildlife is moving or the device is panned.

The fast 35 mm F1.0 lens offers a detection range of up to 1,800 m and a field of view of 21.9 × 14.0 m at 100 m. The minimum focusing distance is 10 m. In monocular mode, a magnification range of 2.0x to 16.0x is available, with an 8x digital zoom. The Thunder TQ35CL 3.0 is designed as an attachment for daytime optics with magnifications ranging from 1x to 15x.

The integrated laser rangefinder is particularly useful for hunting. It measures distances between 10 and 1,000 metres with an accuracy of ±1 metre. This allows the distance to the observed target to be determined directly using the thermal imaging device, without having to reach for a separate rangefinder.

combines the Shutterless Image System (HSIS) with Image Pro 3.0. This technology enables a smooth image display and brings out fine contrasts more clearly. The thermal image is displayed on a large 0.49-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. The available modes include Black Hot, White Hot, Red Hot, Fusion, Red Mono and Green Mono. Brightness and tone can also be adjusted to suit the situation.

With video and audio recording, a snapshot function and recoil-activated video recording, specific hunting situations can be documented directly. 64 GB of internal eMMC storage is available for this purpose. In addition, the device offers a hotspot function, a standby mode, calibration options and 5 zeroing profiles. In clip-on mode, no virtual reticle is displayed.

The Thunder TQ35CL 3.0 is also designed for tough field use. The magnesium alloy casing is IP67-rated for protection against dust and water and can withstand shock loads of up to 1,000 g at 0.4 ms. The operating temperature range is from -30 °C to +55 °C. With the battery fitted, the device weighs 525 g and measures 152.3 × 63 × 74.1 mm.

The removable, rechargeable Li-ion battery provides a runtime of at least 5 hours at 25 °C, with the laser rangefinder activated and the hotspot switched off. The battery can be charged via USB-C, which also allows the device to be powered externally.
