Hikmicro’s HIKCam A7E action camera captures hunting and shooting scenarios in high-resolution 4K and, thanks to recoil activation, automatically starts recording at the decisive moment. The HIKCam A7E really comes into its own at the clay pigeon shooting range, where it allows you to analyse and improve your shooting technique. Automatic recoil activation starts recording automatically and captures the decisive moment without the need to operate the camera manually beforehand. The activation responds to recoil of up to 375 g within 1.7 ms. Various pre-recording modes for clays, small game, big game, targets and custom settings allow the camera to be configured to suit the specific application.
For later analysis, the action camera delivers videos in various resolutions and frame rates. Options include 4K at up to 60 fps, 2.7K at up to 90 fps, as well as 1080p and 720p at up to 120 fps. This makes it much easier to analyse fast-paced sequences, particularly in clay pigeon shooting, on the ‘ driven hunt’ or during training. The playback speed can also be set to 0.2x, 0.3x, 0.6x or 1x.
The 7 mm lens with an f/2.0 aperture offers a field of view of up to 46.6°. The 2x to 8x digital zoom allows the frame to be adjusted to suit different distances and types of target. Recordings are saved to the built-in 64 GB storage in MP4 format with H.264 or H.265 compression.
The HIKCam A7E connects to the mobile app via the built-in Wi-Fi connection. There, you can view live footage and recordings, play back videos and transfer data to a mobile device. This allows you to review the previous sequence immediately after recording and analyse it for training purposes.
Weighing just 138.6 g and measuring 103.5 × 30 mm, the camera remains compact. The built-in 18650 lithium-ion battery provides a running time of up to 15 hours or approximately 400 shots. Thanks to its IP67 protection rating, the HIKCam A7E is protected against dust and water and can be used at temperatures ranging from -20 °C to +40 °C.
