The DDoptics Kolibri 8x42 Generation 3 binoculars are small, lightweight and handy stalking and hunting binoculars. The high field of view of 126m is perfect for wide-area viewing.
These binoculars with 8x magnification are ideal for long distances during the day and in low light conditions. The exit pupil of 5.3 mm is in a range that still allows fatigue-free observation. With a featherweight of only 615 g, which is unique for this performance class, the small dimensions of 142/130/49 mm, a field of view of 126 m, which is large for binoculars of this type, and the short close-up focusing range (2.5 m), the possible uses are almost unlimited, from hunting in forests, fields and mountains to observing the world of birds, flowers and insects.
Generation 3 not only comes with a new design with a slim bridge, but also with improved optics. In addition to completely revised and improved optics, the HDX-FMC coating is now also used. In addition, all moving parts such as the diopter, focusing wheel and eyecup are made of robust light metal. Compared to its predecessor, the weight of the 3rd generation has been reduced by almost 50 g.
An elaborate phase correction of the roof prism system ensures brilliant, true-colour and high-contrast images. There are hardly any stray light effects in moonlight or backlight. The HDX FMC coating, new in Generation 3, guarantees not only impressive image brightness but also even higher and reflection-free image sharpness right to the edge of the field of view.
Smart Focus is an advantage in twilight or at night: this technology largely eliminates the need for refocusing when night hawking. After focusing on an object about 100 metres away, the eye automatically adjusts itself in the distance range from 50 metres to infinity without constant refocusing.
Compared to its counterpart with 10x magnification, the Kolibri 10x42, the Kolibri 8x42 offers a considerably larger field of view of 126 metres. Especially when it comes to clearly targeting game, these binoculars are ideally suited for a wide variety of hunting missions during the day and at twilight due to their bright, high-contrast and reflection-free image reproduction as well as their light weight.
