Tanatex® is an odourless insect repellent based on permethrin. The active ingredient permethrin has been used in insect-repellent clothing for over 20 years and has long since proved its worth in the military sector.
The product works according to the "hot feet" principle: for example, if a tick crawls over a piece of fabric that has been treated with Tanatex®, it instinctively lets go immediately, as if it had "burnt its feet". The same happens with mosquitoes. They take off again immediately after landing. The insects' survival instinct prevents them from approaching the fabric.
The Tanatex® treatment has a long-lasting effect and is wash-resistant. It remains durable for up to 40 washes.
Yes, Tanatex® is harmless to human health. The product is approved for direct skin contact and fulfils international safety standards. The World Health Organisation (WHO) even recommends the active ingredient permethrin contained in Tanatex® as a pesticide for public health. The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment has also categorised Tanatex as harmless to health.
The product is also safe for dogs . It is oftenused as a tick repellent in various preparations, e.g. as a spot-on, and is well tolerated.
However, permethrin can be harmful to cats , so you should avoid contact with your pet.
Yes, all our products with Tanatex® insect protection can be washed in the washing machine as normal. However, we recommend following the care instructions on the label to ensure the longevity of the insect repellent and the garment itself.

Silvadur™ is an antimicrobial treatment based on silver ions. It prevents microorganisms from multiplying in the tissue. This inhibits the development of odours and combats the formation of perspiration odours. As a result, clothing stays fresh for longer and needs to be washed less often.
The antimicrobial effect of Silvadur™ is retained even after frequent washing. The technology is permanently embedded in the fibres of the garment, providing long-lasting protection against odour build-up, typically over the lifetime of the garment.
Yes, Silvadur™ is well tolerated by the skin and is even OEKO-TEX certified. The product is approved for direct skin contact and fulfils international safety standards.
Yes, all our products with Silvadur™ can be washed in the washing machine as normal. We recommend following the washing instructions on the garment label to maximise the longevity of the garment.
