The leather of the collar Tara finds its origins in Russia. In order to keep their feet dry in the cold and wet areas, the military needed extraordinarily durable and water-repellent boots. For this purpose, cowhide was tanned and greased with willow bark and birch tar oil, which gave it a special stability as well as a distinctive smell.
The Tara dog collar is based on this old tanning tradition, which has been brought back to life with modern, gentle and purely vegetable means. Therefore, it is not only dirt and water repellent resistant, but also extremely supple despite its robustness .
The contrast stitching as well as the detachable key ring with Hunter Juchten logo complete the rustic look of this unique piece.
